I have now added a new album containing the rest of the photographs from the Highland Games at Glenarm castle on the 14 – 15 July. Apart from the usual attractions you expect to find at a highland games event’ their was two other main attractions to entertain the crowds, the “Rampage Carnival Dancers” from London (see separate album for their photos) and the “Clann an Drumma” a Scottish band with a unique and exciting brand of music, check out their web site for more information. http://www.clannandrumma.com/

I have added another album to my spaces "Rampage Carnival Dancers". I went along to the Highland Games at Glenarm Castle on the Antrim Coast, i go every year weather permitting. The games were going along nicely with hammer throwing tossing that big stick and throwing around big stones the usual stuff you get at these events. Then a group of dancers appeared and breezed through the the games like a breath of much needed fresh air. They looked fantastic in their colourful outfits and put on a glorious dance routine, the games started buzzing with talk of these dancers from London, see my photographs, i hope they will be here next year. I did photograph other people and displays at the games and will up some photos of them as soon as i find the time. 

Today is the 16th May 2008 my 50th birthday i have some fun planned to mark the landmark in my life, first thing today i am off to Newtownards Flying Club for my first flying lesson, then tomorrow i will be driving a WW2 tank should be fun. I will up load some photos soon.

I have added some more photographs today. I will be adding lots more when i have the time.

I have now deleted all photo albums containing photographs without my copyright mark, Many of the photographs will be back as soon as I find the time, however they will all have a copyright mark on them.

I have just added a new Photo Album entitled “The Blacksmith”. I use the term NEW loosely as the photos were taken over 17 years ago.

I was taking photos at a Plough Match just outside Randallstown County Antrim it was a cold February morning the light was dreadful, I was working on a shoestring in those days using a Praktica camera and cheap east German ORWO film, because of the light I had to push the 400asa film 2 stops to 1600asa; the film was bad enough at 400asa but at 1600asa it was bloody poor, However I persevered and made the best of a bad job.

This is where I got talking to one of the old boys who was ploughing a well turned out team of Clydesdale Horses, he told me he was going to have the horses fitted with a new set of horseshoes and I was welcome to come along and take some photographs.

We arranged to meet at the Blacksmiths, a traditional blacksmith called Willie Brown just outside the village of Rasharkin in County Antrim and these are the photos.

The negatives lay forgotten in an old box for many years until a few weeks during a clear out I fell in with them again, I scanned them in to the PC and here you are, the quality is not the best however the content is magic.

I have had to add a Copyright mark to all my new photographs, also i will soon be deleting all my old Albums and any of the old photographs that are put back on my web site will have a copyright mark on them, this is due to the number of my photographs being ripped off and appearing on other web sites, also i don't like the way people can down load my photographs and order prints without my knowledge or permission.

You will still be able to do this however the photographs will have a copyright stamp on them.
